Yummy~! Commission for JSXeno!
It’s almost my birthday (August 23rd!) and for the last few months, I haven’t wanted a single thing; all I wanted was to be able to stream and spend time with the people that watch me! But after talking with the ever-fabulous Xenthyl, I came to a conclusion: I would love just one thing for my birthday, a cintiq tablet.
“Don’t you already have a tablet?”
I do! I currently use an Intuos Pen and Touch Medium, which is very roughly half the size of the Cintiq. However, this is not a screen tablet, and is smaller than the last one I had, which is really restricting my hand a lot and causing some pretty bad pain when I work.
“So what, you just decided you want to buy this giant tablet out of the blue?”
Not at all! There are actually a LOT of benefits to this. I’ve been doing research (a LOT of research) and everyone I’ve spoken to plus everything I’ve found has lead me to believe that health-wise, this will be the absolute best decision for me. I suffer from very bad CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome), which causes such severe pain sometimes that I can’t hold a stylus for days at a time. This is due to the cramped confines of my current tablet (as well as other sources of stress!) and is unfortunately a problem that will not go away. A Cintiq tablet allows you to draw more naturally and comfortably, which would reduce stress on my hand and end up really helping with my pain!
In addition, a Cintiq improves your workflow and productivity. It streamlines the process (after you’ve gotten a bit used to it of course!) which means that work will get done faster. Currently I have about a 3 week-2 month turnaround time. Can you imagine what it would be like if I could work even 50% faster?
Not to mention taking less time to work means lower prices, for everyone! I charge hourly, so if I take less hours to work, you get the work for cheaper!
“What about that last screen tablet you ordered that you loved so much? Wasn’t that just junk?”
Yes, I’ll admit. The last tablet I ordered was junk. I was bargain shopping for something that I wanted and I just couldn’t be bothered to invest in a more expensive piece of equipment. I ended up getting tangled up in a company that was absolutely terrible and tried their hardest not to refund my money in the first place. However, Wacom is a reputable company with many positive reviews, and their equipment has been known to hold up for years at a time.
“Anything in it for me?”
YES!! If you help me get this Cintiq, you have a LOT to look forward to! I’ve got some reward tiers here that will outline what you get when you help out!
$20 – Experimentation~ I use one character you provide to experiment on and learn how to use the Cintiq properly!
$40 – Simply animated pinup! Provide a character! No more than 20 frames of animation, but it will be shaded and cute :>
$150 – Grab bag! Provide some characters and things you like, and I’ll do a good job of offering you a variety of what I normally offer! Sketches, chibis, headshots, icons, fully shaded pieces, etc! It’s all up for grabs, all random and inspired by who your characters are! (May include animations!)
$250 – Your choice of either a fully-shaded 3 character piece with background OR an art time slot for 3 hours OR a grab bag!
$500 – Art Time Slot! Seriously pick a day and I am yours for that day. 6 hours of art, all yours! I will draw ALMOST any subject (I still will not draw underage, rape, or heavily racist material), OR 3 pages of comic, OR a grab bag!
$2000 – I have no idea what you’re thinking but name what you want, it’s yours.
You can also just tell me what you’d like in exchange for the donation and I will provide.
HERE is the link to donate. I will ONLY be holding these offers until I have enough money to buy the tablet I am after! So if you’d really like to give me a birthday gift that I’ll use forever and ever, just toss me a bit of money and together we can do it!
After you have donated, send me your e-mail address so we can chat about what you’d like in return! Examples of my art can be found all over this blog :D
